Image negative development

WFDiF’s Film Laboratory can handle chemical processing of all colour and B&W, 16 and 35 mm, KODAK and FUJI negatives, which are available on the market.

Negatives are processed in PHOTOMEC equipment adapted to:

- the ECN-2 process in case of colour materials
- the D-96 process in case of B&W materials

Since December 2001, colour negatives have been developed in a modern integrated PHOTOMEC device. It ensures top-quality processing and safety.

Stability of film development processing is maintained based on continuous chemical analyses and sensometric measurements. Quality solutions are based on Oligocene water collected from our own deep-water well.

WFDiF's Laboratory has a KODAK recommendation in respect of chemical processing of colour negatives. Processing is periodically controlled by the KODAK Motion Picture Technology Centre in Chalon (France).

In case of colour negatives, apart from standard processing, the following are available in special conditions: “push,” “pull” and “bleach bypass.”

B&W negatives are developed in standard conditions (gamma 0.65-0.70) or to the specified contract index (gamma from 0.50 to 0.85).
